If you are like me, you love to win. But, have you ever seen how you reacted, really reflected, after you lose?
One of my favorite quotes is by Tony Robbins. “When you succeed, you party. When you fail, you ponder.”
Why is that so good? Because if you do it right, you should always win.
Let me give you an example. When I win a new business deal obviously it feels GREAT. Want to know a secret though, I get even more motivated when I LOSE. Why? I reflect, I see what I could have done differently, I journal, I think… I ponder. Can’t say I’ve ever analyzed a WIN like that. Have you?
So, next time you lose, was it really all that bad? What can you learn, what can you pull out of it, what can you avoid for next time and let that motivate you to never have it happen again.
Humility is what it takes to really look within.
