If I’m being honest the hardest thing I’ve ever struggled with is my mindset. I sometimes can come across as someone who has a lot of confidence and belief in myself. While I do, there are also so many times where I doubt myself, wonder if something is possible, and think I am not capable. Where I wonder, “How did I ever get this far?”
I think all of this is natural. We are programmed literally hundreds if not thousands of times a day by people, advertisements, social media, etc that we are “not good enough” or that we “aren’t capable” and so many other messages.
I’m here to tell you this though. You are good enough, you are capable, and you can do whatever you set out in your mind to achieve.
Each and every time I wake up in the morning I am fighting my own mind’s natural tendency to fight myself. To not get up, not make the call, not talk to the person, not challenge myself, etc all in the name of “I don’t know if I have what it takes.”
So here is what I’m doing. I’m in the middle of reinventing myself. I truly am not necessarily starting from scratch but from a place of experience of everything I’ve thought more specifically over the past 9 years or so. I want to by the end of 2021 not even recognize myself in every area of my life.
I think about everything from what I want to be known for, how I want to raise my kids, to how I want to impact those closest to me, what type of Uncle I want to be, the type of lifestyle I want to have, the type of husband I want to become, the non-profits I want to start, and so much more.
Just really thinking. Why? Pain will do that to you. Pain causes you to ponder, success causes you to party. Things are quite good in my life right now, I just want to be the best possible human being I can become for everything and everyone in my life. I want to be the example to show people what’s possible when you pursue your dream and take massive action while going after it.
Here is what I propose. Pay EXTREMELY close attention to two things for me as this is what I am doing over the next 30 days.
The thoughts that come to your mind about what is possible for your life.
The information you allow to come into your mind - visual and audio.
Just do that and let’s pursue this together. All with the goal in mind to become the best human beings we can possibly become.
Here’s to chasing our full potential in all areas of life. Stretching to become unrecognizable to those around us because of how much we accomplish, how humble we are, how much we give back, how healthy we are, how kind we are, how much we value people, and so much more.
