Tech, Niche, and Love. ❤️
I haven’t written a post for a while but wanted to come at you today with some thoughts I’ve had over the first half of 2021. It’s been a GREAT for me professionally in my companies and personally by finding the love of my life, Rachel! Business continues to explode and we figure out more and more each day.
Innovation/Tech - In my opinion you should not get into business if you just plan on being like everyone else. I love the word “innovation” and thinking differently. The spirit across Omni Digital Group and Omni Insurance whether it is in what we actually sell or how we sell or the way we serve clients you MUST be different to survive. I strongly recommend the book TRACTION to figure out these unique things for your business or the company you work for. At Omni Digital for example we have developed a software called Omni Lightning that will be a game changer for the retail/consumer space by helping retailers leverage their data. We are changing the way retailers across the country advertise and reach their customers. Innovative. With Omni Insurance, we transitioned away from the trucking software and are going ALL IN on trucking captives with bigger fleets. We are developing tools to help trucking companies better understand that they don’t need to buy insurance the same old way they always have and how to properly view a big expense for them. They can “innovate” and be different, think different. As a business, if you want to have a big business, you must help your customers think different, challenge them. Don’t be scared to. Reason being, they will ALWAYS thank you down the road.
Lets next talk about a niche in business. From the start of my companies I copied what I learned from my prior employer and Grant Cardone. My prior company worked with trucking companies on their insurance. Grant Cardone has a $150+ mil dollar company now and at the start worked 100% with auto dealers. I always say, “you’ve gotta go deep before you go wide.” Work with an industry 100% until you have a minimum of 100 clients in the B2B space. That way, you can call companies and have confidence in what you’re doing and how to help them. Take some time to really think about it and understand which niche your business can tackle. Let me know how I can help and other lessons I’ve learned I can share with you.
Finally, let’s talk about love. I met the love of my life, Rachel Shrode earlier this year. Hear me when I say this. The right person can motivate you beyond anywhere you ever thought possible. That’s exactly what Rachel does for me. She challenges me, she pushes me, she makes me better, she is the most loving, passionate, and beautiful soul I’ve ever met. She’s way cooler than me, has the most amazing family, loves with her whole heart, and is smart beyond what I could ever be. Finding the right person is no easy task but it is 100% worth the time and commitment to it. Finding her renewed the vision I had for my life and what I truly wanted to accomplish. I love you, Rachel!
I want to start having these short writings around specific topics on my blog. I think they add deeper understanding but quick punches.
I hope you enjoyed! Until next time.
